  1. William O. Strong, b. 3 November 1809 in Spencertown, Columbia Co., New York; married  Jane A Howe and remained in Sheridan, where he died 26 January 1892.

  2. Orson Webster Strong, b. 11 October 1818 Sheridan, Chautauqua Co., New York; he married  Lucy Emeline Cadwell  11 June 1840 in Wheeler, Porter Co., Indiana, d. 3 November 1875 in Porter Co., Indiana.

  3. Asa Strong Jr., b. 1 August 1820 in Sheridan, Chautauqua Co., New York. He married  Frances Watts 22 November 1842, d. 17 February 1899 in Ross Township, Lake Co., Indiana.

  4. Marilla Strong, b. abt. 1823 in Sheridan, Chautauqua Co., New York, d. 14 August 1903, burial at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana. She married  Horace Cross 20 Febuary  1839  he was b. abt. 1815 in Vermont, he died bet. 1865-1860.

  5. Amanda M. Strong, b. abt. 1825 in Sheridan, Chautauqua Co., New York, d.  17 March 1887 in Ross Township, Lake Co., Indiana.  She married  Francis Barney 17 January 1843 in Lake Co., Indiana.

  6. Daniel Herbert Strong b. 14 March 1826 in Sheridan, Chautauqua Co., New York, d.  31 December 1912 in Lake Co.., Indiana. 

  7. Esther Strong, b. (?) m. (1) John Burge in Chautauqua Co., New York, (2) Royal Cuthburt 3 June 1840 in Porter Co., Indiana.  No proof Esther is the daughter of Asa Strong,  its possible she was a sister,  if not his daughter.

DANIEL HERBERT STRONG 2 (Asa 1), b. 14 March 1826 in Sheridan, Chautauqua Co., New York, d. 31 December 1912 in Lake Co., Indiana.  Military Service: Co. E 151st Indiana, Civil War.  He married  Alma Cross  dau. of Daniel and Achsah Cross,  16 January 1845 in Lake Co., Indiana.

  1. Achsah Fedelia Strong b. abt. 1847 in Indiana.

  2. Henry Strong b. abt.  1850 in Indiana.

  3. Marge Strong b. abt. 1851 in Indiana.

  4. Elizabeth Susan Strong

  5. Abbie Strong b. abt. 1859

  6. Charles Strong b. abt. 1862 in Indiana and according to my Great Aunt Helen dau. of Hamlet Taylor, Charles Strong went back to New York.
